Well, we made it to 30 days of this crazy new existence. Our family has been stuck together like glue for 30 DAYS STRAIGHT NOW. We are all still alive. We are grateful but frazzled. All of our lives (just like everyone else’s) have majorly changed. I’m in pure survival mode at this point.
I am Distance Doula-ing 2 first mamas as they navigate birth in the time of a pandemic, and become first time Moms.
I am attempting to be Dean/Co-Teacher/Personal Assistant to a Distance Learning 3rd grader. That in and of itself is cause for day drinking and brain explosions.
I am a photographer who cannot work at the moment. No birth photography, no motherhood photography, no nothing photography. So I must find other ways of staying sane, and creative during this challenging time.
No one here wants to Tik Tok with me anymore.
I have no willing karaoke or dance party in home participants.
No one here wants to sing while I play the piano.
So, instead, I will document my days. Here are some images showing what the first 30 days looks like, including our Easter: COVID19 2020 Special Edition.

Documenting in pictures helps. It’s hard not being able to go out into the world and document this pandemic, what the streets look like now, what people are wearing and doing.
But that wouldn’t be safe.
So for now, I will keep documenting our days.

Doing this with a highly spirited, highly sensitive child is especially challenging.
I am super grateful for our backyard oasis, the nice (albeit hot) weather, and our trampoline.

I am grateful for my healthy family, even though they drive me insane.
I am happy we get to go through this healthy and together.

This is definitely a “different” kind of Easter.
No big filled Easter basket.
No toys or gifts.
We did manage an egg hunt, which he really appreciated and enjoyed. Even if half the eggs were empty, and the others filled with leftover Halloween candy from 2019.
So for now, I will keep snapping. In more ways than one. Carry on, my friends, and if you want to connect….well, you know where to find me. Snap. Snap. Snap.
